🚨 Planned Electricity Interruption Alert 🚨
Residents in parts of Helderberg and Somerset West are advised of a scheduled electricity supply interruption due to critical infrastructure upgrades and maintenance by the City of Cape Town.
The planned maintenance is expected to take place on the evening of 27 June and continue through to the morning of 28 June 2026, affecting several areas across Helderberg and Somerset West.
⚠️ Residents are encouraged to:
• Check whether their area is affected.
• Switch off sensitive appliances before the interruption.
• Treat all electrical installations as live, as power may be restored at any time.
• Plan ahead for the scheduled outage.
Nobody enjoys being without power, but these upgrades are aimed at improving the reliability of the electricity network for the future.
